Sustainable City 2015 is organised by the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Colombia and the Wessex Institute, UK. It is sponsored by WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment and the International Journal of Sustainable Development and Planning.

Medellin, Colombia

The city of Medellin has recently been chosen as the Most Innovative City of the Year by Citi, the Wall Street Journal and the Urban Land Institute, thanks to its incredible transformation. 

Amongst the projects taking place in the city there is the creation of 1.6 million square meters of new park space throughout 25 parks and 11 urban promenades, a cable car and public bicycle system, a ride sharing program, an intelligent mobility system (SIMM) and vehicle exhaust emissions control.

In addition to the incredible transformation of the city, Medellin also attracts visitors due to its eternal spring weather as well as its beautiful landscape and endless places of interest to visit.

Papers are invited on the topics outlined and others falling within the scope of the meeting. Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted as soon as possible.

Delegates may also attend without submitting a paper.
